Phở 777 Vietnamese Noodle Restaurant sits quietly in downtown Reno, yet it holds a strong reputation among locals who crave authentic Vietnamese flavors. My first impression was how unassuming the place looks from the outside, yet once inside, the aroma of simmering broth instantly sets the tone. It feels like a hidden gem, one that doesn’t rely on flashy design but instead lets the food speak for itself.
Located on East 2nd Street, Phở 777 has built a loyal following over the years. The restaurant focuses on traditional Vietnamese cuisine, especially noodle-based dishes served fresh and hot. Guests come here for lunch or dinner, often drawn in by the promise of comforting bowls of pho and a menu that reflects long standing family recipes.
The menu is centered around pho, and it’s easy to see why. The broth stands out right away rich, aromatic, and simmered for hours to bring out deep, savory flavor. Each bowl arrives with tender cuts of beef or chicken, silky rice noodles, and a side of fresh herbs and bean sprouts that let you adjust each bite to your taste. Beyond pho, there’s a variety of Vietnamese favorites, including egg noodle soups, vermicelli dishes, and rice plates that add more depth to the selection.
One dish that stood out during my visit was the bún bò Huế, known for its bold and slightly spicy broth. It delivers a deeper, more intense flavor compared to traditional pho, making it a great option for those who want something with a bit more kick. The marinated pork chop with steamed rice also deserves attention well-seasoned, grilled just right, and served with simple sides that let the meat shine.
The vibe here leans toward casual and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where people come for a quick, satisfying meal without any fuss. The dining room feels cozy, and the service keeps things friendly and efficient, which adds to the overall comfort of the experience. Many guests appreciate the balance of quality and affordability, making it a regular go to spot rather than a one-time visit.
Another detail that stood out is consistency. The flavors remain steady across visits, and portions are generous enough to leave you fully satisfied. Even during busy hours, the kitchen maintains a solid pace, keeping the flow smooth for both dine-in and takeout customers.
Phở 777 Vietnamese Noodle Restaurant brings together authentic flavors, comforting dishes, and a relaxed setting that keeps people coming back for a reliable Vietnamese dining experience.

The food was not good, the meat had a gross after taste to it, the soup base tasted like soap, and the boba in my taro drink was disgusting. I could not finish a thing. The food took a while to come. Even the Hoisin sauce looked like a weird paste. Don't recommend.

Very generous portions! I recommend the Bun Bo Hue if you’re into SPICY soup. It might be hard to find parking if the place is packed. There is a big parking lot across the block but you’ll have to walk a little though.

Yeah. The pho is canned. Nothing authentic about it. You would be smelling the broth boil from outside but here, you do not. Good enough for the public but not for the true pho fanatics.. as for the pork rice, a darn shame. I know this meat was reheated and not cooked fresh. 😩 you can tell by the texture when you bite until it. Go ahead and try it yourself. I didnt touch the food, just paid and went to the next pho restaurant hoping for some real beef bone flavors.
